|It’s a first for MIIS, proving that our alumni and students really are everywhere! Please join Carolyn Meyer (MAIPS ’05) as she hosts an alumni and DPMI student reception in Kigali. Carolyn will be joined by a number of MIIS students participating in the Development Project Management Institute (DPMI) program, professor and DPMI founder Beryl Levinger, and DPMI trainer Marie Kagaju Laugharn. Marie was a member of the Seeds of Empowerment at Stanford University’s School of Education. Previously, she worked as a Political Affairs Officer at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons at The Hague, Netherlands. At the United Nations Development Programme in Mali, Kenya, Central African Republic, and Rwanda, Laugharn managed projects on HIV/AIDS, governance, elections, and peace-building.|
This will be an outstanding opportunity for the small but important community of MIIS alumni in and around Rwanda to connect with our current students, visit with a favourite professor, as well as learn more about the many exciting new programs and activities at MIIS. If business or personal travel should find you in Kigali on January 20th, we hope you will attend this reception.
Please Register above if you plan to attend no later than Friday, January 17, or respond to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 831-647-3557
For questions on the day of the reception, please contact Marie directly on her local mobile # 0788305949.
