Stay Connected!

Do you love to Facebook, Tweet, or post on LinkedIn? So do your fellow alumni! Check out our social networking options to see what’s happening.

While there are as many definition variations for social networking as there are social networks, in general social networking describes the way that individuals build online networks of contacts and interact with these personal or business friends. The career staff at the Institute always say that networking is the professional skill to acquire, and we want to make it easy to network with new MIIS friends, reconnect with former classmates, and search for professional connections. The Monterey Institute has a presence on nine different sites, join us in the conversation today!

The MIIS Facebook site has over 5,500 fans! It's a great place to check out campus news, activities, reconnect with alumni, see what projects and presentations students are working on, and share your thoughts with alumni and friends of the Monterey Institute!

The MIIS LinkedIn site launched in 2007 and there are over 2,300 professional from all degree programs already "linked!"  LinkedIn will allow you to join groups that share your professional interests, connect with MIIS alumni (or alumni from other universities/scholarship programs you have attended), and offers group forums, event reminders, and job postings.

"What are you doing now?" is the question Twitter allows you to address, and Monterey Institute students, faculty, staff, and alumni are already telling the world! MIIS began tweeting in January, 2009 and we invite you to follow us. Join the Twitter conversation today!

The Institute's YouTube channel contains videos made by or of interest to the MIIS community.
